How Inflamed Is Your Body?

What is An Inflammatory Diet?

EVERY TIME you put food in your mouth, an intricate and explosive process begins in your body to decide how to react both mentally and physically. While your brain is busy with that decision, various enzymes are set into action to break down the food and coordinate with digestive systems that DISTRIBUTE the food in three directions; use of immediate fuel, storage for later fuel, or waste removal. It's CLEARLY a very DETAILed PROCESS so to simplify the reaction your body has to food I like to explain that the body can respond to food in two ways......INFLAMING or De-flaming.

INFLAMING       - or -     DEFLAMING

Everyone responds differently to dietary choices but overall there are certain foods that the body more readily accepts and with less of a chemical and enzymatic response. The medical community considers all food in this CATEGORY to be anti-INFLAMMATORY. anti-INFLAMMATORY foods are easier to process and don't Largely disrupt the balance of hormones, blood sugar, energy levels, and digestive irritation in comparison to inflammatory foods. kEEP READING FOR EXAMPLES OF INFLAMING FOODS AND SYMPTOMS TO LOOK OUT FOR TO DECIDE IF YOUR BODY IS EXCESSIVELY INFLAMED.

Diet-induced Proinflammatory Pain/Symptoms

When a patient truly has a mechanical issue (joints, bones or fascia/muscles) they should respond quickly to manipulation or other manual therapies (with my hands). When there is an underlying systemic issue (imbalances in the blood/organs) manual therapy may not be enough to reduce inflammation that is resulting as pain. TO facilitate the manual services we offer in the office, I recommend that all patients adapt an anti-INFLAMMATORY diet during increased episodes of pain to accelerate healing. Patients in a pro-inflammatory stage (very inflamed) will not heal as well or as fast.

EATING A DIET of INFLAMMATORY FOODs WILL EVENTUALLY PRODUCE CHRONIC ACHES AND PAINS WHICH CAN AFFECT MULTIPLE JOINTS OR REGIONS. iNCREASED EPISODES OF INFLAMMATION CAN CAUSE an OLD INJURY AND CERTAIN SKIN DISORDERS TO HAVE A "fLARE-UP." Years of this inflammation can lead to joint degeneration, respiratory irritation and DIGESTIVE ISSUES.
