Chiropractic is a non-invasive and full body approach to restoring motion and balance to each joint. Through skilled hands, chiropractors find tissues such as bones, muscles, and ligaments that are not functioning properly with the systems around them. Traditional chiropractic focuses on improving the quality of joint motion in the spinal column which alters the neurology of the rest of the body.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Soft tissue is the connection between each bone that serves to move them in a specific way. Muscles, tendons, Ligaments and the fascia that surrounds each tissue group can be manipulated using our hands or an Instrument. Chiropractors don't provide relaxing massages but target the tissue to improve movement patterns and restore neurological tone.

Breathing Rehabilitation

A large focus of mine is to train patients to breathe with ease and in an area of less resistance. We incorporate all movement corrections with breathing to re-wire the nervous system and make the adjustment permanent. Breathing exercises are sent home with each patient to IMPROVE pain levels and stress during exercise or simple daily routines like sitting at work.

Chiropractic Acupuncture and Meridian Therapy

Dr. Mangano uses the chinese medicine assessment known as meridian therapy to address muscle weakness, emotional imbalances and pain levels. Needling to correct meridian channels is optional and causes little to no discomfort during application. It is included during the time frame of a normal patient visit.

Dry Needling and Cupping

Dry Needling is a small portion of acupuncture in that it also utilizes small needles to pierce the skin at an area of pain to restore the tone of the soft underneath. Cupping is a DECOMPRESSIve pain RELIEF tool that recently Re-gained popularity thanks to Olympic Swimmer,Michael Phelps and his mysterious dark circles left on his shoulders after a recovery treatment session.

Kinesiology Taping

K-tape is a wonderful tool to improve joint control and fascial distortion during painful or uncoordinated movement. Taping is done in the office and will provide a few days worth of pain relief to allow you to stay participating in your activity during a treatment plan. Temporary yet Powerful, this adhesive tool is now very popular and is used on many professional and olympic ATHLETES worldwide.

Rehabilitative Exercises

Because of my background in exercise science, athletic training, personal training, and group exercise instruction, I tailor each treatment plan to the patient's specific sport or activity. In combination with the muscle and joint balancing in office, strengthening exercises are demonstrated and sent home with each patient to improve joint stabilization and soft tissue imbalances.  Resistance training, dynamic movements, Yoga Poses and balance coordination all play a role in the exercise regime provided in our office.
